Tomorrow (Saturday). Paul Jacobs free inside stable info:
After being pulled out at Haydock last week when I fancied him to go well at a massive price Handsome Dude has solid claims on the form book in the Great St Wilfrid Consolation at Ripon (2.05). However, his previous visits at the track are far form inspiring and HEE HAW gets the vote. Connections had apparently worked him in the cheek pieces at home and backed him to return to form last week. They are retained here and he is still very well weighted on some of his old form.
The Geoffrey Freer (2.25 Newbury) looks a really good renewal and I have received messages for several horses, but I have been told if WALTON STREET is successful here he will be aimed at the Melbourne Cup and miss his intended outing in the Ebor. He has about 5 to 7lbs to find with some of these, but this will only be the eighth run of his career and second in the UK this year. He worked brilliantly last week and is considered to be firmly on the upgrade.
My strongest pieces of news in the big sprint at Ripon (3.15) concerns the favourite GROWL (I won’t back him if firm appears in the going description) and the massive outsider DAKOTA GOLD (considered well weighted by connections and no forlorn hope).
''David has one runner today, Dell'arca on the flat at Goodwood. He runs in the 1m6f handicap and Luke Morris is on board. He was quite mpressive winning at Newbury last time and he carries bottom weight of 9st 2lb this afternoon and fingers crossed he will go well again.'' Pretty positive then.
Goodwood 5.0. 3/1 available several places. 7 run in this handicap
Also seen word for Patrick in the Newmarket 5.10. Backed in from 12s last night to 11/2 several places now. 8 run. E/w for me.
