Well it's here and if your fancy has no form on heavy forget it ! Imo I've had hurricane lane every time but not today. Buick dosent make mistakes but I've had a ante post bet before this horse ran. So I've played adayar e.way . and the best filly I've seen in years TARNAWA on at 8.1 .e.way this is a serious tool to go to war with. Huge plus it goes on heavy and on top is christophe soumillon . Will need luck in running but if it gets the breaks should be right in the mix. Good luck chaps
Glad you made out alright, peregrine
Nice shout by Maddy
I couldn't get my laptop up in time to make a bet - it was 7am here.
Saved money anyway :)
I remember backing a winner in the Arc on ground like that in the 70s.
A horse named Star Appeal had previously been trained in Ireland by
John Oxx (Sr.) and was a decent horse - who loved soft ground.
Sold to Germany, the horse got into the Arc and was a huge price (33-50s)
If I recall, I had a fiver on and made a small fortune for those days :).
Had a good record backing winners in the Arc back in the day.
Levmoss, and Rheingold with Lester Piggott spring to mind.
Sassafras broke my heart beating Nijinsky, though.
As they say that's racing well done to Maddy. Always someone somewhere will have been on the winner . But Dermot's filly is some animal which ran a Stormer in the circumstances. But as always he was honourable in defeat.
