Nice to see that from Jan 1st AT THE RACES will become Sky Racing TV, .....it may have lost the Irish Racing fixtures (personally couldn't care less, nightmare to make a profit ) however they have captured ASCOT, CHESTER and BANGOR from Racing UK......also they have a far better team on board, Jason Weaver, Luke Harvey,Tommo etc keeping us amused.

Think we will have to beg to differ there WBY.......At the Races covers BATH, BRIGHTON, CHELMSFORD, CHEPSTOW, DONCASTER,FAKENHAM,FLOS LAS, FONTWELL, HEREFORD,HEXHAM,LINGFIELD,NEWCASTLE,NEWTON ABBOTT,PLUMPTON,RIPON, SEDGEFIELD,SOUTHWELL,TOWCESTER,UTTOXETER, WINDSOR,WOLVES,WORCESTER...and now ASCOT, BANGOR, and CHESTER......and it's part of a full skysports package, never been too keen on lumping up another £20 sobs a month on Racing UK to listen to the that whining American bint, the downbeat David Clearly and all the other assorted BORING clowns on there.

Horse racing will have a new home from 1 January 2019 with the launch of Sky Sports Racing.

The new channel will replace At The Races as channel 415 on Sky, 535 on Virgin and 418 on Virgin Ireland, will be available in HD and be produced from Sky’s state-of-the-art studios in West London. Anyone who currently receives ATR will be able to access Sky Sports Racing whilst it will also be available on Sky Go and NOW TV from early January.

Coverage on 1 January will start with a special programme – Welcome to Sky Sports Racing – at 9am before Raceday Live brings live action from Southwell and Fakenham from 11.30.

The core daily schedule will include hourly news bulletins from 9am until the start of Raceday Live which will include a full preview of the day’s racing.

There will be a new Racing Round Up programme at the end of each day covering results and all the big talking points. Monday Night Racing will be a new show hosted by Alex Hammond with Jamie Lynch, plus other regular guests. Borrowing the Monday Night Football format from Sky Sports, it will look back at the weekend’s action alongside live evening racing.

The Racing Debate will replace Sunday Forum and will also be rolled out across other days when the schedule allows whilst our Friday night programme Get In will continue with Luke Harvey and Jason Weaver. Racing International will become increasingly important part of the schedule, so there will be a number of preview and review programmes lined up to help viewers become more familiar with the content.

Sky Sports Racing has the rights to 25 UK racecourses with Ascot, Bangor and Chester also joining the channel in March. Internationally the channel has secured rights to racing from France, Hong Kong, the Melbourne Cup Carnival, US Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup.

attheraces.com will become the digital partner to Sky Sports Racing, providing a range of data to the channel whilst Sky Sports Racing presenters and talent will make regular contributions to attheraces.com alongside our online team that includes Hugh Taylor and Kevin Blake. The website and app will continue to offer an on-demand service of full programmes and highlights clips together with a Live Video subscription option.

Sky Racing isnt in the sky Sports package. If you have Sky or Virgin then you should get it as part of the basic package.
