Miraculous 3.27 Newmarket Saturday currently 9/2

Ex Roger Varian and looks well capable of winning races for Tim Easterby. Not given a hard race either start for Easterby, especially catching the eye at Chester. Interesting he sends him down south to Newmarket, which isn't a course he often sends horses to which gives me confidence they will be trying a bit harder to win this time ;) 9/2 is about the right price so I am happy to have an each way bet to nothing on this, confident he will get in the first 3 on his 3rd start this season, 2lbs below his last winning mark. Hopefully Billy loughnane does not get an easy lead and one or 2 others can pester him.

Tex 5.10 Newmarket Saturday not priced up yet but I would like anything around 3s or bigger

This looks a good opportunity to get his head in front for the first time, the race doesn't look a great standard for a 0-70. Also, there's a few free going sorts in here in a hands and heels race for inexperienced apprentices so I can see a strong pace being set. If Tex is slow away like he was last time (hopefully not as slowly) then it should set up nicely for him to swoop late on and he won't have to work too hard to go through with his effort and get in front. Epsom probably didn't suit him last year and he ran a good race at kempton on seasonal reappearance last year not beaten far off the winner who's now rated a lot higher. I can forgive Tex for his slow start last time being his first run of the season and if he comes forward for that run and doesn't lose as many lengths this time he should be able to win this without having to put in too much effort. He's not a horse I would trust in a better race but this should be his best winning oportunity.
