Bet #125 - 1:15 Haydock - Lac De Constance, 0.5 pt e/w @ 14/1

Lac De Constance showed good early promise when winning 4 of his first 6 races that saw him go off favourite for last season's Wayward Lad novice chase (Grade 2) where he unseated. A few disappointing runs over fences since then, but had a wind surgery and last run over hurdles on his return at Aintree wasn't too bad considering he was a big drifter which suggests he might have needed the run. He has been dropped another 2 lbs to 136 now and this might be slightly less competitive race as the first two from Aintree race are contesting the class 1 here today (2:20).

He has to give weight to most of the runners today, which is a slight negative today but he has given big weight before albeit in a novice race. Dan Skelton's record of 0 from 7 in this race is also a bit of negative, but I just feel Lac de Constance is on a good mark now to hopefully compete well for a place at least and the price makes it worth chancing for me.
