Hard to believe this horse was flat bred by the size of him, making him a stand out in this field. Although beaten 9l by the winner, he showed an abundant amount of ability. Stayed on takingly after the front two got away as he sat mid pack. Jockey also switched him in and out a couple of times which would not have benefitted the big stride. Must go close in another bumper if going that route but would be of great interest to see him over an obstacle.
Thanks all for the kind words - the missus had a 5 and half hour operation last night as
she had a perforated bowel she will now have a stoma bag she's on the road to recovery
but it's gonna take a while we are hoping she'll be home for xmas but it's not certain
I am hopeful of returning to the forum toward the end of the coming week i've got many
things to do before i will be in a position to do so tho

Last Run - Newbury Sat 29th Nov 2025 2m 4f 118yds Hurdle, Good to Soft) 9/1 11-0 K Brogan 1st of 9 runners, by hd and 14L from Kalkbrenner (IRE) and Buddy Holly (IRE)
Got up by a head at 9/1 last Saturday at Newbury, improving by 6 lengths against the runner-up from their previous outing at Ffos Las. He's been easy in the market his last two runs, and may stay that way. The Challow Hurdle at Newbury is a legitimate target for this fellow - and his price for that race may be okay.
Hi folks - been waiting a couple of hours for an ambulance to take the missus to hospital ( could be waiting up to 6 hours been told) so may not be back on forum for a day or 2
Has I am sure you are all aware Brian is steeping down as the Host of BOTB forum due to ill health and I will be taking over the reigns going forward.
I am sure you will all join me in thanking Brian for all his work and he is still very much a very valued member of this forum, always was draw to Brian's ratings posts in the past.
Also let's not forget Mugz, who really ran this forum well for many years.
Going forward I will try an introduce a few improvements to the board to make this a busier forum and better for everyone.
One thing we all have in common in Horse Racing and Sports of any kind and I am sure we all like a bet of some kind.
We have some great moderators on this forum and without them we would not have a forum, so again thank you to all of you and I hope to have your continued support.
Finally, lets not forget the members of this forum, some of who post and some who just drop in for a read, great to have everyone aboard in any capacity.
I would appreciate any ideas for board improvements everything will be seriously considered and would be nice if we could tempt back some old members from the past to make this a thriving forum again
