Think Thunder Beauty is interesting and speculative EW chance for me , as Ken Condon would not be sending this one over with Billy Lee on board unless he though it worthwhile. Also think Vadream is good EW price and could outrun his odds and Charlie Fellowes thinks this horse "will make his mark this season". This one could have more in his locker.
However very competitive, especially with A O'Brien having
two runners. Althogh he says he has nothing in his stable to touch Santa Barbara in the gallops, never discount his outsider either so could Frankie
upstage Ryan Moore who has been so disappointing on a lot of their favourites?

  • Belfast Banter and Streets of Doyen'Aintree
    Hi all,
I know that in another thread I have went with Ballyadam to win the 2.25.Novice hurdle at Aintree today and that this will be a great little race and should be a competitive finish with My Drogo not ruled out at all, but DREAL DEAL could be an EW BET to nothing at its current odds. Echoes in Rain was well beaten by Dreal Deal a few months ago. BELFAST BANTER was also beaten by Echoes in Rain. If this form is to be followed which is always the best indicator then I will be having a good separate single EW BET on DREAL DEAL.

Look at this race for future winner at Cheltenham next year.........mark your card now ECHOES IN RAIN.
Won very easily last Sunday at Fairyhouse an watch the race to see how good that horse is, now surely Streets of Doyen has to be EW BET in the 4.40 race Aintree, especially after Belfast Banter winning again so well.

  • One for tomorrow.......
Had both Belfast Banter and Streets of Doyen done ew// ew and ew double and went in and hardened Streets of Doyen again after Beffast Banter which I got at 40/1. Nice if SoD had won also but cannot complain. Cheers and thanks for the congratulations and wish a lot of you had also taken them. Buildmeupbuttercup disappointing run again but maybe another day for that one???

  • One for tomorrow.......
If Streets of Doyen wins will be great for me as and fingers crossed that it also wins!!!
  • One for tomorrow.......
Think you have to now have decent bet now on Streets of Doyen as I think it will go very well also...
  • One for tomorrow.......
Just to add two other tentative E/W selections in a fascinating McCoy Contractors County Grade 3 hurdle race.
Firstly one that should possibly give a good account at 40/1 is BELFAST BANTER who is well handicapped in the 1.55 race today but think the 3miles today might catch it out being longer race than what it has raced in to date and some seasoned older horses to take on like Petit Mouchoir, Le Patriote and You Raised me Up, and Mengli Khan and Mullins trained , BUILDMEUPBUTTERCUP.
This ex Mick Channon horse on the flat who could maybe be possibly the winner but at 20/1 is also good E/W bet has been at Cheltenham before and also has Danny Mullins in the plate (who was a late replacement on Flooring Porter and did a great job winning yesterday). Mullins had high expectations for BMUBC when he was a bit younger when he first raced at Cheltenham so maybe today will be his time for a bit of glory.

BELFAST BANTER, however is different story. It won a maiden hurdle over two mile at Galway last October but also finished eight lengths second in a grade 2 hurdle at Naas off 11st 6lbs to Echoes of Rain (trained by WMullins), at the end of February both races in soft going. May appreciate the better ground and only 10st on its back but the distance today is a big question mark which explains why its 40/1.. Back in sixth at Naas was Streets of Doyen, but that looks like a prep race for
both Streets of Doyen and Belfast Banter.
Difference is that Flooring Porter who being a year older had already won over three miles, before going on to win that race yesterday, but the RyanAir Chase is a different proposition to these two hurdle races today at 1.55 and 2.30 with the 1.55 being a grade 2 and 2.30 a grade 1.
Also these two handicap hurdles races will be highly competitive with very large fields of runners and the horses need luck in running and getting into right position to be able to make the correct moves inside the final furlong.
Anyway good luck to all today.

  • Nice acca this
    Dear All,
Sorry for reposting...... but put this on that thread last hoping that it would be noticed and did not have the time to post again on a single thread but Cromwell will have a lot more good days with Flooring Porter ....

But if you look further up did put this up and hope some people were on it as it certainly cleared my Cheltenham in front for the week!!!!

Great picking by the punter and over such a long period as well to sweat it out.
As my old mother, Lord Have Mercy on her, used to say "Whatever is for you will not go by you...." He has went this far so hope he hangs in there and I will be cheering it on for him.
This horse was the star in Gordon Elliott's yard and would have been one of the nailed on "winner's" pre Cheltenham , along with Monkfish, Appreciate It and Honeysuckle from the Irish horses and Shiskin of the English entries, so every reason to believe that it should be winning tomorrow and it has probably one of the best young Irish jockeys in Jack Kennedy riding it and also his first ride of the day, so no chance of him not being the jockey tomorrow unless he does not turn up. I know that Chacun Pour Soir and Concertista both let the punter's down but both Mullin's horses got run out in the closing stages with their stamina not good enough to get them home. Bar a fall I cannot see anything beating Envoi Allen if he jumps round and is competing going over the last fence. Hope the lad has the balls to see it through and collect his big pot................!!!
Think this will be the first of a few winners for JK tomorrow with his other rides, including Farclas and Samcro.
For what it is worth I have a strong liking and has been for some time in FLOORING PORTER 3.05 race
I think it is a great EW bet at 12/1 and can give Paisley Park a run for the money tomorrow.
I know that the Cromwell yard think the world of this horse and are very hopeful.

Also ProBet's selection today and he is usually spot on good so fingers crossed luck with it as I also follow that tipster in the Daily Mirror and have backed it so hope not giving the the" kiss of death".....the way my luck has been going at present as having serious bout of "seconditis", and so reluctant to put up anything myself....

  • Best bets today...
Thank you for the positive replies but very hard to get winners and more so at this time of year as the flat season is over and the NH just getting into full swing. Even when I do get tips or information, NOT ALL of which are spot on, I am very reluctant to post any such advice because they do not always win and then you get the unwanted "snipers" who do not think twice about picking you off when they lose their money ........but this is the only negative on this site.
Regards and happy punting to all,

  • Best bets today...
-Sorry for that as odds of winners poor and pity better priced did not click
today. Think I should have looked at Venetia's horses today as she does well
in December and had two nice priced winners today.
    Anyway keep trying

  • Ryan Moore
    Dano,
Still as poor as ever in my opinion and has good book of rides today at Newbury and more than capable of getting at least three winners from those bookings. But we shall see but really there should be no excuses, from a jockey of his stature and experience.I could be wrong but he is riding in my opinion like he has no hunger or determination to ride out his horses like a lot of the younger up and coming jockeys. I would not be surprised at recent speculation is also correct and Colin Keane takes over as A O'Brien's no1 jockey in the near future.
