    Hi folks - been using my PC most of the day put it to sleep about 2 hours ago and now can’t access it - screen comes on to enter my password but I can’t type it in keypad doesn’t seem to work also the mouse doesn’t work - any ideas most welcome

    sounds like you've gone into deep hibernation.
    Sometimes a key sequence may bring your screen to life (Ctrl+Alt+Del)
    Otherwise a hard reboot is in order

    If its a wireless keyboard and mouse it could be a battery issue. If the computer is getting to the password screen then it sounds like its booting up fine.

    Thanks both - bloody battery issue is all it was ( I only put a new battery (well I thought new one) a couple of weeks ago Doh!!!!!!
