Boccaccio is an expensive purchase for a trainer that’s on fire with his 2 y.o. and could well win this hard held however, very expensive horses are best treated with caution first timeout as they are almost always tenderly handled on their race course introduction (wouldn’t want to risk injury or give a hard time to your golden horse on it’s first day at the office would you?). My money is with Bin Suroor’s DARK OF KNIGHT from the same ownership, also an expensive purchase. It already had 2 runs under it’s belt (slowly away first time out and a one paced 4th on it’s second start) however, those were on the all weather track and the shift to the turf might now show it’s true colour, with race fitness & experience on it’s side. Having started both favourites on his last 2 runs shows what the connections think of the horse and today might be the day to strike and at the same time give their more expensive horse a much needed race course experience.
