Hugh Taylor goes for the 13/8 fav breatless times and puts a good case for it its likely winner i suppose.
however
Count Otto 11/2 the main rival is in hot form and won a c3 recently
In that race Helvetian was giving it 6 lb and got beat 1.5l
today count otto is 7lbs worse of with Helvetian 9/1 and a further 4lbs due to claim
11lbs for 1.5 l i dont know much about Helvetian jockey but he had a winner on his last ride and has a 17% strike rare for all rides
often claimers/apprentices ride long shots so that's a good stat

LTO helvetian faded final furlong but that was hot ascot 6f and has beaten the fav before
shaheen comes into it but its slow start is a risky bet but fair odds

Conclusion Helvetian is by no means a cert but on balance of form weight and odds looks a fair ew bet
possibly 4 places 13/2 or 9/1 3 places EW
