Placepots at the Royal Meeting

    Just in case anyone is having a go at the placepot, Tote have clarified the place terms on their site :

    One thing to remember about Tote Superpools at Royal Ascot is how they affect place terms in every race. The finishing positions which will constitute a place are as follows:

    Fields of 2-3 runners: 1st
    Fields of 4-6 runners: 1st & 2nd
    Fields of 7 or more runners regardless of whether the race is a handicap: 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
    This applies to the following pools: Place, Placepot, Quadpot and Scoop6.

    This rule will apply to Royal Ascot races only, and will not affect any other contests available on the Tote.
