Had a small interest on LAIRIG GHRU (66/1) in this, he is already gelded but pedigree is not bad, half brother to useful sprinter Perfect Pasture (twice a winner at Listed level). Trainer doesn’t run many 2 year olds but considering almost all of them tend to be huge prices on debut, his record of 3 wins from 56 runners on debut isn’t bad (price of winners 66/1, 33/1 & 22/1), 2 of those debut winners were here at Pontefract (from 15 runners). His only other 2yo this season finished 2nd @ 66/1 on debut. Graham Lee has a good record at Ponte, and is the leading jockey here this season with 7 wins from 41 (+15 LSP), though he has better chances with couple of other rides here today.
It’s a big price so not expecting anything really, just a small bet.
