Small interest on ULSHAW BRIDGE (10/1) for me, he is 2 lbs better off with the favourite Ibraz despite finishing a neck ahead of him at Newcastle in June. James Bethell hasn’t had a runner in this race since 2006, but he won it with Granston in 2005 and finished 2nd with same horse following year. Selection’s last run is a worry when he finished a disappointing last of 10 in first time blinkers (now left off) but had been fairly consistent prior to that.
Another to consider is Irreverent, though he needs to improve as he finished behind a couple of these in Thirsk Summer Cup Handicap last time, he has only had 8 runs so likely there is more to come from him and interesting there is a bit of money for him today, Richard Fahey also has a good record in race with 2 wins (and a 2nd) from 11 runners, but none of them were 3 year olds and last win was in 2007.
