ICE LORD (10/1) finished last of 6 (eased and beaten 18 lengths) last time, so is a risky selection but it might not be a big worry as 3 of his 5 wins have come after a similar poor effort when he was beaten 8+ lengths on previous start. And as a result of poor run he has dropped to same mark as his last win which came in a similar class 2 handicap in October last year. Ice Lord and 2nd fav Green Power have raced against each other twice before, Ice Lord finished 1 and quarter lengths ahead when rated 7 lbs lower than Green Power, but latter was ahead by 1 and half lengths when they raced off level weights. Today, Ice Lord receives 4 lbs from his rival and based on their previous 2 meetings they have a very similar chance at these weights but Ice Lord is a much bigger price.
