BEST of the BETS

Looks a tricky day today, only a small each way bet.

MUNFALLET (12/1) has not won for nearly 3 years but as a result he is very well handicapped now, last win was from a mark of 87, now rated 59. One question mark is the distance on this softer going as he has done most of his running over 6 furlongs, but has run well on two runs over a mile for his new trainer, latest when finishing 4th of 19 (beaten 3 lengths) in a similar race at Leopardstown last week. He is 3 lbs lower now and if he can reproduce that effort he should go close. It’s a competitive race though with a huge field of 23 runners, so can’t be confident but hopefully he will run well again.
