BEST of the BETS

Over a week since my last winner, and last two selections have run shockingly badly, so be careful of following.

DEAL A DOLLAR (13/2) got turned over at long odds on last time, but form of his two earlier races isn’t bad. No match for Dante winner Telecaster at Windsor but was ahead of Future Investment who won his next two races and is now rated 89, 3 lengths and further away included horses now rated 75, 82, 77. His debut 2nd has also worked out well, he was 7 lengths and more clear of horses now rated 87, 92 & 87. In that race, 14 lengths behind him was Fly Lightly who finished only a length behind today’s favourite Harrovian last month. Selections last defeat at such a short price and also the tongue tie now suggests he may not be straightforward but his form says he has ability to be better than his opening mark of 85. Among current trainers, Michael Stoute is behind only Mark Johnston in terms of number of winners at Glorious Goodwood, he is yet to have a winner this week but most of his have run well and he has a good chance of getting at least 1 winner today (stronger chances in two other races, but hopefully this one will run well too).

Only 13/2 but I have gone each way today.
