Open looking race on paper, but I think ABSOLUTIO (6/1) could have more improvement to come and have backed him for win, he is one of three 3 year olds in the race in which they have an excellent record. 3yos have won 6 of 15 runnings of this race from just 23 runners for LSP of +29, compare that to just 9 wins from 100 runners for older horses. Selection was beaten 16 lengths last time but that was a good 3yo only handicap and the winner looks decent and they finished well strung out so conditions may have been testing too. Earlier form is good, won a class 4 handicap at Redcar first time in season, runner up has won a class 3 since then and pair were clear of rest so it looks good form. Ben Curtis is back on board, and that is a positive too as he has been in good form, Curtis has a 23% strike rate (17 from 73, +12 LSP) on horses priced under 10/1 for last month, and he looks to have some good chances today (1 ride at Sandown then goes to Haydock for 6 rides) so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets more than one winner. Karl Burke hasn’t had a runner in this race in recent years, but won it back in 2007 with Moody Tunes, who incidentally was also rated 83, same as Absolutio.

Win bet on Absolutio @ 6/1

    Good luck.
