BEST of the BETS

Quite an open looking race, I have backed PRINCETON ROYALE (7/1) each way. Selection is normally a good jumper and pretty consistent, two bad runs out of last 3 but had excuses both times, soft going the first time and 2nd race was at Fontwell where he has never run well before, and it was a good race with the winner going on to win the Hennessy next time. Returned to form with a 2 length win at Ascot last time, 2 lbs rise for that seems fair, and I think he will be thereabouts. Trainer is yet to have a winner at Haydock, but he doesn’t send many here (only 14 runners at Haydock for him so far, 3 placed). Dentley De Mee is yet to win over fences from 6 attempts, but he is also pretty consistent and he is only 6 so likely to improve, I rate him as a big danger.
