As is often the case with Dundalk handicaps, most of these have met each other before. I am interested in the form of c&d handicap on 21st December where 4 of the top 5 in today’s betting had ran, NEW VOCATION (8/1) clearly holds Stealth and Coach Bombay on that form and she is also 6 lbs better off with Spanish Dawn who had beaten her by 2 and half lengths. That should be enough to reverse the placing especially as the latter is returning from a break. The favourite Royal Admiral at 13/8 looks too short stepping up in distance. My selection doesn’t come without question marks as she is a 12 race maiden and was beaten 12 lengths last week, but that was over 12 furlongs and had shown better form over this trip earlier. Trainer is in good form, having had a winner and a close 2nd with his two other runners today.
Not confident because of the distance she was beaten last time, but hopefully she will run well.
