    There is NO way I would call them places, they were supposed to be WIN bets and I am sure others would agree.

    Agreed, but they arent recorded as bets just a way of recording how well the selections ran. If you had 20 runners with 1 winner and 8 places you would think that there is some merit in the system.

    The system is recorded as 1pt win bets only.

    That was a bizarre ride on today runner, dropped out and took the widest course possible from stall 2, to end up being beaten 1l. If he had stuck to the rail he would have won.
