I think WEST COAST LASS (6/1) has a chance in this, on 107 she has the highest rating of those with hurdling experience, and her 2nd at Perth looks particularly good as the winner has since won a handicap off 116, and the 3rd has won 3 novice hurdles and is rated in 130s. Drop back to 2 miles could be a slight concern but I don’t think it’s a big negative. First two in betting are making their hurdling debuts, Cuckoos Calling has a good chance on her two runs in bumpers last season but has been running poorly on the flat, and 2nd favourite’s trainer Phil Kirby used to have a good record here but nothing in last 3 seasons. With 8 runners, I think my one can finish in first 3 at least.
