I wanted to post a message to all members to address some concerns that I, along with some of the other moderators, have regarding the future of the Best of The Bets Forum.
For many years, the forum was run in the very capable hands of Mugz, who somehow managed to keep what was once a very busy and active board of posters running smoothly.
Times have obviously changed. Despite everyone's efforts to keep things going and encourage more activity, I'm very conscious that we're simply not seeing much of a turnaround at the moment.
So, before making any decisions, I genuinely want to gauge everyone's thoughts and see where we stand — and, ultimately, whether the forum still has a long-term future.
We may well be entering the final furlong for the Best of The Bets Forum. Perhaps, after all these years, it has simply run its course. Equally, there may still be enough enthusiasm amongst the membership to give it another push or take things in a different direction.
I'll leave this open over the next week and would really welcome any comments, thoughts or suggestions about where we go from here. What the future looks like is really a question for all of us who still use and value the forum.
If we're met with a stony silence, then perhaps that in itself gives us the answer.
However, I'd much rather hear from people — whether you post every day, occasionally, or have simply become more of a reader over the years. Is the forum still something you want to see continue? If so, what could we realistically do differently to breathe some life back into it?
