Terries Royale is still a maiden but has run really well in his three handicaps to date, all over today’s trip. He had a 2nd and a 3rd at Nottingham and then last time out he was a creditable 4th of 13 at Pontefract despite getting hampered. Should be involved again today .
Crystal Casque is at the other end of the scale, this 9 year old has 13 career wins, the last of those was when she took this race last year. She has warmed up for this year’s renewal with a 2nd at Sandown and a 3rd at Goodwood so comes here in good enough form to repeat last season’s success.

Boardman has won twice at Haydock and he was a good 2nd over course and distance a month ago. His two runs since then weren’t particularly impressive but the were both in Class 2 handicaps, so back in a Class 3 at a course he clearly likes he should run a decent race.
The Turpinator won at Pontefract in June and after a poor run at Newcastle he ran well at Ripon, running on strongly to finish 6th of 17 over 6 furlongs. Todays extra furlong should help, he has form at seven, and with the yard going well at present we should get a good run out of him.
