    Thanks, Malcolm.

Today's bet number should have read 92 for the year, not 91. Black Friday placed 3rd but there was a big Rule 4 of 25p in £ on EP, still it worked out slightly better than SP of 4/1 for more or less break even day, just a very small loss of 1/100th of a point.

It rounds off a very disappointing month with just 4 winning bets out of 19 for month's loss of 6.76 pts, it could have been worse if I didn't get a couple of winners last week.

YTD, it's +16.78 from 92 pts staked. Here's hoping for a better August.

Al Mubhir (11/2 SP, actually his exchange price more than doubled 2 minutes before the off) not at the races.
  • Salisbury 7:45
    Thanks Peregrine

Many A Year finishes 2nd. Late withdrawal of the favourite meant prices weren't as good as I hoped for, but still can't complain about BSP of 1.92 for 3 places for profit of 0.90 pt.

I picked the wrong one off my shortlist, Cracker beaten after going 1.12 in running by the outsider Do No Wrong. Selection did go off at a silly price, I had seriously thought about cashing out to guarantee 50% profit pre-race but let it run.

    Thanks Malcolm

Some nice winners, well done Craysnays.

Dark Company backed into 5/2 wins by 5 lengths.
  • Let’s goo
Good start, Craysnays, good luck with others.
  • Wolverhampton 9:00
    Thanks everyone.
  • Another go
Well done Craysnays with place treble.

    Thanks, Stainless.

The break will have to wait a bit longer now with Yaahobby winning.

    Thanks, Malcolm.

The poor run continues, In These Shoes didn't just lose, she finished tailed off. The winner wasn't on my shortlist, top stats pick finished 3rd @ 50/1, on another day I could have gone with that but can't make any right decisions with my bets this month.

    Well done Craysnays.
  • Killarney 1:55
    Thanks Malcolm.

Kyogo (5/1 SP) ran ok but finished only 3rd after trading 1.50 in running. Worst was that the one horse I didn't want to win was Cossack Chach and he did win, reason I say that is he came from Saturn's race (my bet yesterday) which I did think was a strong race so had it as a danger. It does kind of show that I am reading the form right but not getting much luck at the moment as the ones I back seem to be only ones not running to form.

Edit: price is 7/2, I did get some 4/1 but not all so will use 7/2 for the records.
  • best of the bets to continue
Well done Brian. It's very good of you to pay from your own pocket to keep the forum going for everyone. I wish you all the best and hope forum can return to its former glory. It's up to all the members now to contribute in way of posting selections and discussions on the forum, as that is the only way for forums to succeed.

Unlucky, but nice winner in there.
