Yes Rodeo, sharper than a butchers knife the bookmakers.

The old adage if it looks like rubbish, smells like rubbish, then it is probably rubbish.

Will not hinder or spoil my Cheltenham but was a nice thought a few free bets.

Actually cancel the previous. I have just read the T&C's and Betfair customers who have the basic rewards package are not eligible for this offer.

I should have read these first. :groan:

Not worth it for me changing my basic package because I get a low Belfair commission using the basic package without all the singing and dancing offers.

For what I would lose out on, it would not be worth switching to a different package.

Oh well at least I had a small profit on my "low risk" bets today.

    Cheers Brian.

I joined in today and did some fairly low "risk free" dutching on the exchange to get this weeks free £10 bet.

So do this each Saturday now till the festival and some free bets to take advantage of.

  • 3.15 Southwell Sunday
Out again tonight at Southwell in the 7.15 race.

Think he represents a good each way opportunity odds around 15/2 but good win it.

Slow start last time out at Southwell when he came out of the stalls slowly and was never able to get into a good stride and stayed on to finish 4th that day.

Might be worth a bet tonight and if he gets out well my confidence will build.

As far as I am aware Brian all the irish fancied horses are crossing the water for the festival unless I have missed something. Cheltenham would not have the same buzz without the irish horses.

My sentiments exactly and I am sure the trainers, jockeys and indeed the owners will be as competitive as ever regardless of the crowds.

Cheltenham is a spectacular of the best of the national hunt elite and as a spectator and a punter from around the middle of February my thoughts are firmly on the fesitval starting.

Good to hear ITV will feature the full card live on TV. Let the show begin.

Yes Mugz, will be very strange this year given the circumstances but you cannot beat the the quality on display at Cheltenham and the buzz of this great, great meeting.

Looking forward to it, Let's hope we all back many winners.

  • another big gamble treble started at 4:50 today for tomorrow
    Spindrifter,

If you refer to my comments let you remind you that this is a members forum.

The objective of the fiorum is for members to discuss various subjects relating to horse sharing and share opinions..

We do not all share the same opinion which is fine.

My reply was not me criticising you or anyone else however was me giving my opinion on the subject matter.

If you have a vested interest in this "gamble" then I wish you the very best.

    I would be sceptical.

This type of thing happens day in and day out with every bookmaker on small scales.

Falses gambles by creating an amount of "market manipulation" and some punters wil alwaysl follow this money.

The last runner yesterday presented itself as a good lay opportunity with a small risk given the price was battered to odds agaisnt when in theory this was not an odds on shot.

  • Bumper at Carlisle the last race
This Hollymount indeed went into my tracker and I note changed hands at the Goffs sales for £300k in January.

Given the promise this 5 yo showed in the Carlise bumper, could go well here at a decent price of around 7/1 in places.

Runs tomorrow (Sunday) in the Leopardstown bumper 4.40 race much better race against a few decent looking types.

I think there is more to come with this horse,

Good luck if you have a bet.

  • 3.15 Southwell Sunday
Thank you everyone. I think given this run and this horse winning on the line shows that the horse would benefit with a one furlong step up in trip and I am sure they will be looking at a target race soon while in this good vain of form.

    Watch this space.

    @Rodeo

You have two non handicap races in your three selections when the rules state and I quote

"2 selections must be made in HANDICAP races.".

    Hope this helps.

Good luck everyone today and this includes my opponent today The Gambler
