Yes, I was drawn to Russian Emperor the so called second string of the O'Brien team

I do think this Derby is wide open this year and there could easy be an improved couple in there that could surprise us all.

I am having an small each way on Mr Gosden with Worthily in the end, more gut feeling than any form judgement.

Will be the mount of Martin Harley who I have always rated as a good jockey and having spent a few seasons in Australia would be nice to see him return to the UK now he is race riding here with a big winner in the Derby.

All sorted. Rang the people at Racing TV, something to do with the frequency on the HD channel 426 SKY and suggested I phone SKY because the issue is their issue. Strange that all the SKY HD channels work perfectly fine. Think there is a "Blame Game" going on there.

However and more interesting is I can still view Racing TV in SD on channel 874 which I never knew.

Me, I am happy to view the racing in SD, and old git like me remembers the days when we never had TV broadcasts of racing or certainly not the day to day racing we have now.

So SD, HD, doesn't matter. :up:

FYI, would you believe it, they have none other than "Ruby Walsh" doing the voice-over for the telephone options, bet he cost a few pounds, pity they could not have put me through to him :lol:

Yeah. Horse looked fine, no obvious sign of any injury.

Just got worked up at the stalls, head down was a concern but stall handlers were excellent in their response to the incident and only the second day at the races for her more to come thankfully.

Became unsettled and played up at the stalls.

Got in the stalls but put head down and was lodged underneath the gate.

Withdrawn. Waited all week for this as well. :sad:

Keep an eye out for her and if I hear anything will post it up.

Stradivarius some machine and ground was no issue,

Yes, Cross Counter did very well there to plug on for the place.

Technician was an anti climax. They certainly over pitched him in this race.

I am just not a betting man in any sort of soft or heavy ground which ruins the meeting for me. Love a flutter on the big race meetings but great to see a good horse winning like this. Well done Frankie and Mr Gosden. :clap:

I was hopeful for Cross Counter today but this ground is worst than I thought it would be which may present an issue for the fav however Technician will likely go in it and could be worth a bet here.
