The U21's are shaping up very nicely. This season's signing seem to be more down to quality than quantity.
Van Den Heuvel, Drameh, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Allen all upgrades on our previous recruits
I've even read the club have already moved 16 year old Charlie Allen to the u21's they have been very impressed with him since he came in.
Others could quite easily follow his footsteps as we have some great talent in the U18's.
The squad looks to have good depth to it. when you look around it. It has a lot of familiar names that come to mind even if you don't follow Leeds to that further depth as some others.
A few could even tinker with the 1st team as the season progresses.
This team could become a good force in the EFL Trophy.
Also hearing we have raided Feyenoord for highly rated winger Crysencio Summerville
Crysencio is 18 Years old He's a winger with pace. The lad is not very big from what i seen and read Few people say he will need strength work to build out his growing frame.
The lad has turned down a new contract with Feyenoord and the word is we have won the race for him.
The team had a run out on September 1st against Wolves.
The Game finished: Wolves 2 Leeds United 1 (Leeds Scorer Gelhardt ) Team:
Caprile,Drameh,Hosannah,Cresswell,Huggins,Kenneh,Jenkins,Stevens,Mckinstry,Greenwood,Gelhardt
Feels like we got 2 teams to watch this season.
Really looking forward to seeing this young bunch in action.
This is our future.
Stanley will probably want to win this and will field a good team
Current Odds.
A Stanley 3/5
Leeds U21's 4/1
It was evens and 2/1 last night so the bookies also think Stanley going to play a full strength team.
Right bit surprised for tonight's game against Accrington Stanley
Rather than the u21's playing its the u18's
Hearing the reason why we will be playing a game tomorrow where the 1st team take on the U23/21's
3-0 (24mins)
Going to be a long night for the young lads out there. A learning curve but they are well and truly lambs to the slaughter getting battered.
Reasoning i expect is because C'B's Casey & Cresswell are not in todays squad. probably meaning they will be in the first team squad in the Carabao Cup v Hull City on Wed.
Half Time.
Stoke City 2 Leeds United 0
2-0 down but we have bossed the game.
All Caprile has done is pick the ball out the net.
one after 40 odd seconds from 3 yards out and another from a Penno
Both goals scored by set pieces (seems a running trend) Gelhardt missed a Peno for us later on in the half.
