Yep, i feel its between your selection OJ and my selection which is SHOWBOATING 16/1.....The slight concern for mine is he is drawn in stall 1 and he`s a HOLD UP horse, This is a Class 5 0-73 handicap where he runs from 9ib BELOW his last WINNING MARK in a grade is a 3 times WINNER, also its the first time he has DROPPED into this grade since March 2015,since then its been Class 2-3-4 and in that time he`s run 42 times WINNING 5 times in Class 4 handicaps.....at the very least SHOWBOATING looks a very solid EACH WAY selection.....but,i do expect yours to be the MAIN DANGER.

As most are aware i only back horses that are over 10/1 in the betting as a rule....a couple of factors that are of very little consequence to me are a TRAINERS FORM, i simply don`t believe it has the significant bearing that pundits would like you to believe....David GRIFFITHS trains about 8 miles away from me and in taking 2 horses 225 miles to Brighton on a tuesday is very interesting,hence i was all over FIELDSMAN 20/1 and it duly obliged,probably because its got a good record at the track and ALL its 3 previous WINS were above CLASS 6.....for me its 90 per cent about whether the horse is WELL WEIGHTED and likes the course and ground.,regardless of his trainers record,after all the trainer ain`t riding the horse.

Yep, love Frankie, great jockey, great character, brilliant for horse racing.

I have to be honest,I don't have a penny on any of them,but being a big admirer of John Gosden I would really like to see ENABLE do the business again,she is a class act.

i really admire ENABLE,however i expect WALDGEIST 7/1 to run a big race,and at the very least collect place money.

Cheers lads.....well that's a MASSIVE BOOOOOOOOM from me ERISSIMUS MAXIMUS 14/1 does the business very easily at the finish....I knew today we had to be EXTREMELY careful with all the RAIN....and this is one horse I knew would absolutely LOVE THE CONDITIONS.

UPDATE. Its very apt to FINISH THE THREAD on a GOOD PRICED WINNER.....I've been musing over it for a few days now.....I'm a self employed working man,and my better half feels it's about time I spent more time concentrating on our core business,and less time on the horses. Lol

The thing is it takes me up to TWO HOURS of study before making my daily selections,so she's probably got a valid point.

My intention is to still make occasional contributions to the forum,and hopefully return in the not too distance future to carry on my PROFITABLE WINNING THREAD.
